The Washington Demon boys’ golf team was runner-up in the team standings at Tuesday’s Oskaloosa Invitational at Edmundson Golf Course. Washington posted a team score of 306, 19 behind winner Norwalk. Junior Roman Roth had the top score for the Demons, shooting a one-under-par round of 71, and freshman Rajan Roth was just two strokes behind his pace. Freshman Drew Conrad fired a 76, while juniors Teague Meyer and Luke Beenblossom each shot 86 and senior Isaac Vetter finished with a 92.

The Sigourney Savages were 10th out of 15 teams. Senior Clay Morse shooting an eight-over 80 was good enough to tie for 10th, while Savage sophomore Issac Bruns posted an 84 and freshman Solon Yates shot 85. While Sigourney will next play in a quadrangular at Marengo, Washington is off until Monday.
