Mid-Prairie athletes will be back on the blue oval again Friday for the second day of competition at the 113th annual Drake Relays. For the Golden Hawk boys, Cain Brown will long jump. He enters the contest as the 15 seed in the field of 24 with a leap of 22′.5″. He was third in Thursday’s high jump competition clearing 6’9″. Golden Hawk sophomore Jayden Stafford will be in the wheelchair 400. He has the best time in the state this year at 1:07.13. He also owns the best time at the 100, 200 and 800m distances. For the Mid-Prairie girls, the 4×200 team of Madeline Schrader, Amara Jones, Jovi and Tabitha Evans will be in action. they are seeded 21st in the field of 24 with a time of 1:47.35.
