The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls soccer teams wrap up the week tonight with a pair of home dates against the Maquoketa Cardinals. The Mid-Prairie boys are 2-0 on the week after victories over Tipton and Highland to run their overall record to 6-4 on the season. Mid-Prairie has outscored their opponents 30-29 this year including 16-3 during their current three match winning streak. The Hawks are led individually by Owen Trimpe with 10 goals, Tucker Miller with five assists and Joe Hall with 25 saves in goal. Maquoketa is 1-7 on the season. They dropped a 5-1 decision to Central DeWitt Tuesday. The Cardinals have been outscored this year 30-4. They are led by Noah Ehlinger with a pair of goals and Cole Koob’s one assist. In goal, Samuel Knotts has made 144 saves.

In girls action, Mid-Prairie is 7-3 overall, after wins this week over Wapello and Tipton by a combined 9-1 score. For the season the Hawks have outscored their opponents 36-20. Sophia Baker leads the way with seven goals, Kina Miller has a team best five assists and 68 saves. Maquoketa is 0-5 this year, dropping their last contest Monday to Bellevue 8-1. The Cardinals have been outscored 28-4. Leaders include Olivia Orris and Semyia Gill with two goals each and Tinsley Howell with 79 assists.

These two teams have not previously met. The Hawks and Cardinals start their doubleheader with the girls match tonight at 5p.m. in Wellman.
