A pair of area soccer teams lost on the road last night. Sigourney-Keota fell 7-0 at Pella Christian, seeing a 2-0 deficit at halftime balloon out of control. SK drops to 6-3 and faces another steep challenge in their next game, as they will face fifth-ranked West Branch Tuesday night.
The Highland Huskies pushed one-loss Mediapolis all the way to overtime, but the Bulldogs scored for a 2-1 victory. Despite easily their best effort of the season, Highland is still winless ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Burlington Notre Dame.
