On April 20th Roger Escher, 76, of Washington, turned himself in on  Washington County warrants for 25 counts of animal neglect, 24 of them being simple misdemeanors. This case began late November when a farm search was executed by the Iowa Farm Sanctuary and Washington County Sheriff’s Department at 2245 170th St, Washington, and multiple deceased and struggling animals were found on the farm. The surviving animals were taken off the property. Escher was released after posting bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
