The City of Wellman is holding its city-wide clean-up days next week. On Monday, May 8, Tuesday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 10, residents are encouraged to de-clutter their properties, with two ways to do so.

Dumpsters will be available at the Maintenance Building located at 205 9th Avenue. Residents can drop their items off from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on any of the three days. There is no fee for using the dumpsters, however a name and address must be given while unloading items.

Residents can also utilize curbside pickup for a $15 dollar fee. This fee must be pre-paid and will work on any of the three days. Each household is allowed one pick-up, and items must be at the curb by 8 a.m. on the chosen day.

Acceptable items include home and lawn furniture, lawn mowers, bicycles, small amounts of wood items and scrap metal. Prohibited items include building waste, oil, paint, tires, bags of garbage, electronic waste, and toxic waste. Appliances, TV’s, computers, or other electronics can be disposed of on regular trash Thursdays. Stickers for those items can be purchased at City Hall.
