At approximately 3:44 pm on April 30th, the North Liberty Police Department alerted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office that they had located a person with four Washington County warrants. Joseph Halstead, 32, of Kalona, was taken into custody. The warrants were for pretrial release violation on OWI 3rd Offense, a Class D Felony, Driving while barred, a Aggravated Misdemeanor, Possession of a Controlled Substance second offense, a serious misdemeanor, failure to appear for pretrial on driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. The total bond for Halstead is $30,000 cash only; he is currently being held in the Washington County Jail
