
The Keota Eagles brought home the title at their home tournament, finishing five strokes ahead of second-place English Valleys and 14 better than third-place HLV at yesterday’s Keota Invitational at Lagos Acres Golf Course. Along with the team victory, Eagle junior Sawyer Stout was the individual champion with a five-over-par 41.
Sophomore Billie Kindred was fifth by shooting a 46. Junior Cole Kindred and senior Aidan Anderson cracked the top 10 on the leaderboard by firing a 47 and a 49, respectively. Senior Caden Sprouse added a 50, while Keota senior Carsin Kindred finished with a 52. The Eagles have another tournament on tap when they return to the course Thursday at North Mahaska.
