The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team travels to Muscatine today to take a shot at a title in the River Valley Conference championship meet at Muscatine Municipal. The Golden Hawks are 13-6 this season and have been off since a win over Louisa-Muscatine in Kalona April 27th where they shot 192 as a team with Kylie Reinier’s career low 44 best on the night. This season, Mid-Prairie has a 405 team average per 18, led by Madi Davidson at 96. Mid-Prairie is currently ranked No. 5 in Class 2A by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association. All six of their varsity golfers are ranked in the top 60 in the state, led by Gabi Robertson at No. 22, Davidson No. 34, Alexa Huber No. 42, Addison English No. 48, Kylie Reinier No. 54, and Elliot Debler No. 58.
The Golden Hawks are joined in Muscatine Wednesday by Anamosa, Dyersville-Beckman, Bellevue, Camanche, Cascade, Durant, Maquoketa, No. 13 in 2A Monticello, Northeast Goose Lake, No. 19 in 1A Iowa City Regina, Tipton, West Branch, No. 25 in 2A West Liberty and Wilton. Action continues into Wednesday evening at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course.
