The Hillcrest Academy boys soccer team travels to Burlington Notre Dame Thursday for a Southeast Iowa Superconference contest with the Nikes. The Ravens are 4-3 on the season, 3-3 in league play, after a 3-0 loss at home to Mediapolis Tuesday. Hillcrest has outscored their opponents 19-8 in total this year. The Ravens are led individually by Grant Bender’s five goals, Rowan Miller’s three assists and 20 saves for Kyle Neuschwander. Burlington Notre Dame is 6-4 on the season, a perfect 6-0 in the Superconference. They beat Highland Tuesday 6-0. The Nikes have outscored their opponents this year 26-18. They are led individually by Hunter Lillie’s 10 goals, six assists for Caeden Ott and 72 saves from Matthew Booten. Notre Dame has won seven straight in the series including 8-0 and 6-0 wins over the Ravens last season. The Nikes are the three time defending Superconference champs, and are riding a 42 match winning streak in league contests. The Ravens were the last team to best Notre Dame in a conference match, taking down the Nikes in April of 2018. Action starts tonight at 5p.m. at Notre Dame High School in Burlington.
