The Washington Public Library’s annual seed exchange is going on now through June. You can donate seeds to the seed library to share with the community. Or take a packet, leave a packet. Library staff can repackage bulk seeds that you have been saving. KCII News spoke with Assistant Library Director LeAnn Kunz to learn more about the seed exchange program. “So there’s ornamentals and edibles, both things, so there’s things just for fun to plant in your garden for flowers and gourds. I know we did get some bird feeder gourds too, which are kind of neat, so people who want to try that this year, and then harvest those gourds and make a bird feeder at the end.” There are many varieties of seeds available; stop by the Library to learn more.
