The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team looks for a bounce back tonight when they travel to Cascade for a River Valley match with the Cougars. The Hawks are 7-6 overall, coming off of an 8-3 Friday loss at Prince of Peace, where they got a goal each from Owen Trimpe, Noah Ford and Hugo Banuelos and one assist each from Luke Traetow, Daniel Rodgers and Grady Miller. Andrew Kaufman had five saves. For the year, the Hawks have been outscored 44-37. Trimpe’s 14 goals lead the team, as do Tucker Miller’s five assists, and Joe Hall’s 29 saves. Cascade is 1-10 this year. They were on the wrong side of an 8-0 score against Iowa City Regina Thursday. They have been outscored this year 44-12. Individual leaders include Charlie Thole, Tyson Hill and Justin Pry all with three goals, Hill with six assists and Troy Lehman with 83 saves. Mid-Prairie won this matchup last year 5-3. Action starts tonight at 5p.m. in Cascade.
