The Washington High School Marching Band performed on Friday during the Tulip Time Festival Parade in Pella. This is the second year they have performed since the start of Covid. KCII News was able to speak with Washington High School Senior Bailey Rees about the parade, “We’re playing the third selection of our marching band piece, it’s called Santana, that’s the third movement of our marching band performance that we did in 2022.” This year marked the 88th year of the annual Tulip Time Festival. The festival offered Dutch foods, performances, museum tours, and of course, hundreds of thousands of tulips.
