The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team turned a long Monday River Valley Conference road trip into a business trip when they came back from Cascade with a 3-2 win. It was the Cougars that scored first, the only goal of the initial 40 minutes, to take a 1-0 lead into half. After a huddle during intermission, the Hawk’s adjustments worked. The offense caught fire, with Owen Trimpe posting a hat trick in the second half. Tucker Miller supplied the assist on two of the goals. With the lead, the Mid-Prairie defense surrendered one goal, but not the advantage, as Jacob Flynn made seven saves on the night. The Hawks are now 8-6, they host Bellevue Friday in Wellman.
