Kennedy Humbert is an 8-year-old resident of Columbus Junction. She is also a 3-time national tumbling qualifier. Humbert punched her ticket to nationals last month with an 11th place finish at the United States Tumbling Association State Championship at Marshalltown High School.

A busy summer now lies ahead for Humbert, who will compete in the USTA National Championships in Springfield, Illinois on June 24. The following month, she will take part in the AAU Junior Olympic meet in Des Moines. Outside of national competitions, Humbert regularly tumbles for the Iowa Xplosion Cheer & Tumbling team out of Ottumwa.
