The first Washington Farmers Market of the 35th season begins tomorrow at 5 pm on the square. KCII News spoke with a member of the Washington Farmers Market Advisory Board Sarah Grunewaldt about the upcoming season. “We have homegrown produce; we have baked goods; we have arts and crafts. We have soaps and honey and infused olive oils and we have people who paint faces and make snow cones. And then the other big category of people that we have are prepared food vendors, so if you want to grab something for dinner that night that’s already made, you can just sit in the park and eat it. We have a bunch of vendors that do that as well.” The Washington Farmers Market will be held every Thursday from 5 to 7 pm in the Washington Square from May through October.
