The season came to a close for the Columbus Wildcat girls’ soccer team with a 9-0 loss to Pella Christian in the Class 1A Region 3 quarterfinals Wednesday. Pella Christian was already up 6-0 by halftime thanks to two-goal performances from senior Joslyn Terpstra, sophomore Esther Ford and freshman Lexi Terpstra. Columbus wraps up the 2023 season with a 3-11 record. The Wildcats will graduate four seniors in Miriam Ruvalcaba, Isabelle Lagunas and Arlette and Sarah Campa.
