After an exciting golf season, the Washington Demon girls advanced to state as the Regional Champions of the Class 3A Tournament in Oskaloosa Wednesday. This is their eighth trip to state as a team since 2015. They have won four state titles during that span. They will play at state May 25th and 26th at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.
The Mid-Prairie girls advanced to state as the Regional Champions of the Class 2A Tournament in Williamsburg Wednesday. They shot a school record 367 to qualify. This is their second straight trip to state, the first time the program has gone back-to-back years since 2009 and 2010. They will play at state May 25th and 26th at the American Legion Course in Marshalltown.
Highland junior Kelsi Cerny advanced to the girls Class 1A State Tournament following her fifth-place finish in the regional final meet at Wapello Wednesday. She shot a season-best 92 for 18 holes. She will play at state Thursday and Friday, May 25th and 26th, at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Ames.
