The Washington Demons saw their boys’ soccer season come to a close with a 2-0 loss to Carlisle in the Class 3A Substate 8 semifinals last night in Adel. A goal from Kael Streeter put Carlisle on top five minutes into the match, and while the Washington defense held strong most of the night, the Wildcat freshman struck again early in the second half and the Demons could not generate any scoring of their own. Washington ends the season with a record of 9-6. The Demons lose Fredy Aguilar, Julian Marcelino, DeShaun Westphal-Edwards and Brian Fritz to graduation.
