The Washington Demons suffered a season-ending loss in girls’ soccer last night when they fell 10-0 at Davenport Assumption in the Class 1A Region 4 semifinals. Washington was already in a pickle early when Assumption sophomore Dru Dorsey scored twice in the first seven minutes, and the Knights only added on from there, leading 7-0 at halftime and ending the match earlier by scoring their tenth goal in the 63rd minute.
Washington finishes with the season with a record of 11-6, the most wins in a single season in school history. The Demons will now say goodbye to seniors Lindsay Diaz, Nicoll Torijos, Alex Murphy, Judy Aguilar Lopez and Teegan Sulentich.
