The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball team throttled Danville in their season opener on the road Thursday 18-0. The Bears had no answers for the Hillcrest offense as the Ravens scored six times in the first, three in the second, five in the third and four times in the fifth to end the game early. The Ravens had nine total hits, three of them doubles. Luke Schrock was three for four with a double, two RBI and three runs scored. Rowan Miller and Josiah Beachy each drove in three and scored a run. Jace Rempel had two RBI and scored three times. Phoenix Anderson got the win on the hill with four frames, three hits, three walks and three strikeouts. The Ravens are now 1-0 this year with both the baseball and softball teams back in action tonight in Letts to take on Louisa-Muscatine.
