Last week, the Brighton Chamber of Commerce released the full schedule for the 113th Whoopee Days. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Honor and Respect Our Veterans”. 

Festivities kickoff Friday, June 16. The Grand Marshal introduction begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a cornhole tournament and talent show. 

The action reaches its peak on Saturday, June 17 with a multitude of events and activities, highlighted by the 113th Whoopee Day Parade at 10 a.m. The parade will feature Brighton Veterans as the Grand Marshals, as well as the American Legion Post 504 Honor Guard of Richland. Competitions, food, and live music offer something for guests of all ages. 

Closing out Whoopee Days is the Community Church Service in Brighton City Park on Sunday, June 18 at 10 a.m. A complete schedule of the annual celebration can be found on the Brighton Iowa Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
