The second stop on the KCII Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour is the Washington Summer Classic this week. The Big Red Radio will be downtown broadcasting live from the Washington Square on Friday from 4 to 7 pm and Saturday from 1 to 6 pm. KCII News spoke with Washington Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michelle Redlinger about the Summer Classic to find out more,  “We’ve evolved as well as far as adding different activities for families and the community members. But the root of it is still these ridiculous sidewalk sales and so, just to start off with everything, you’ll see the businesses in our downtown, greater downtown area with sidewalk sales throughout the entire time.”  The KCII Summer Town Tour is just beginning. The next stops on the tour include 150th Keota Fun Days, June 8-11, Kalona Days, June 16-17, Brighton Whoopee Days- June 16- 17 and Riverside TrekFest- June 23-24.
