The City of Washington is looking to fill two permanent part-time positions. A Water Meter Reader is a regular part-time position that utilizes electronic equipment to record meter readings for the calculation of monthly water bills. This will be a daytime working hours position with 20-25 hours per month. Entry-level pay starts at $15/hour plus IPERS retirement. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The second position is a Code Enforcement Officer. This regular part-time position is responsible for enforcing nuisance and other code requirements, including but not limited to tall grass & weeds, junk vehicles, snow removal, and garbage removal from problem properties. Must be able to handle adverse situations tactfully. Daytime working hours include 20-25 hours per week. Starting wage is $16-$17/hour, plus IPERS retirement.
