The Washington Summer Classic kicks off today with the start of ridiculous sidewalk sales from 10 am-5 pm. Multiple area businesses will be having ridiculous sales. Join makers and bakers at the Washington Farmers Market from 5 to 7:30 pm. Grab your lawn chair and find your spot in Central Park for the first installment of Thursday Night Live. This performance will feature the Mad Creek Mudcats from 6 to 7 pm. To finish out the first day of the Washington Summer Classic, the Washington Municipal Band will take the stage from 8 to 9 pm. If you can’t make it to downtown Washington on Thursday, there are two more days of ridiculous deals and activities for the rest of the Summer Classic on Friday and Saturday.
