It’s the last day of the Washington Summer Classic, and today’s focus is on Agriculture and Ridiculous Day. This is the 76th annual celebration of Ridiculous Day for the city of Washington, the longest-running recognition in the state. There will still be ridiculous sidewalk sales from downtown retailers all day. When you finish shopping, stop by Central Park for a Picnic lunch and listen to the Washington Municipal Band. There will also be a Modern Ag Display, Tractor Ride & Drive, Games, Pony Rides, and a Bounce House. At 2:30 there will be a Kiddie Tractor Pull; all participants should register at 2 pm. The Oz and Toto look-alike contests will be held in the park, and participants must register at 12:30. The Ridiculous & Antique Tractor Parade should arrive downtown by 5 pm. The day will finish with Flightline Live featuring Dog on Skis & The Schmidt Brothers. This event will be free for all ages, with a beverage tent available. The concert begins at 6 pm and is scheduled to conclude at 11:30. The KCII Big Red Radio will host a live broadcast from 1-6 p.m. and announce the Ridiculous Day and Antique Tractor Parade at 5 p.m.
