The Hillcrest Academy baseball team continued their winning ways Friday, taking an all-KCII area battle on the diamond 4-2 over visiting Winfield-Mt. Union. Each team tallied once in the first, Hillcrest took the lead with another in the third and added on two more in the fifth. A late Wolves rally fell short with a single run in the sixth. The Ravens finished with seven hits. Luke Schrock had three of them, finishing perfect at the plate with an RBI on two doubles and a pair of runs scored. Rowan Miller was two for two while driving in three. Phoenix Anderson was the winner on the mound, going six frames, giving up five hits, two runs, one earned, walking two and striking out a pair. Schrock recorded the save working a clean seventh with a strikeout. Hillcrest is now 5-0 with the victory as the Wolves fall to 2-3 with the loss.
