The Washington City Council approved to reserve parking spots for Thursday Night Live Performers closer to the bandshell. Council person Ila Ernest explained, “Saturday when the lady was struggling across the park carrying her keyboard because they had to park over by Brown’s Shoe Fit. Unfortunately, bands have to carry their equipment to things. So this would provide a little closer parking for them to unload.” There will now be four parking spots reserved directly behind the bandshell for performers to utilize.
