Washington Demon baseball is hoping that home cooking is on the menu as they host Oskaloosa tonight in a game you can hear on KCII. Washington suffered a pair of painstakingly close losses last night, as the Demons dropped both games of their conference doubleheader at Fairfield.

Pitching was brilliant on both sides in game one, with the only run scoring in the sixth inning for a 1-0 Trojan victory. Washington pushed the home team to extra innings in game two, but Fairfield walked off in the eighth to win 5-4.

The result is that the Demons have lost five straight and eight of their last nine. Despite some good work with the bat from seniors Ethan Patterson and Isaac Vetter and juniors Luke Beenblossom and Caleb Zieglowsky, Washington is now 3-5 in the Southeast Conference and 3-10 overall.

The Demons will look to turn things around against an Oskie squad that is 4-13 and has lost four in a row. You can hear all the high school baseball action when Washington battles Oskaloosa at Dick Sojka Memorial Field this evening on 106.1 FM KCII.
