The Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team made it an early night Monday, taking down the New London Tigers 16-6 in six frames. The Ravens would never trail, leading 2-0 after their first at bat. New London cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom, only to be answered by a Hillcrest five spot in the road half of the second. The Tigers would again make a push in the third scoring three times, but the Ravens returned the favor with three of their own to stretch the advantage to 10-4. After a single Tiger tally in the fifth, Hillcrest would put things out of reach with six runs in the sixth.

Hillcrest pounded out 14 hits including four doubles and took advantage of eight walks by the New London staff. Delaney Shaw led the hit parade with a three for four night that included a pair of doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. Morgyn Nafziger drove in three on two hits and scored twice. Lydia Beachy collected three RBI on two hits including a double. Erin Bontrager had two RBI and Kylee Statler one. Malia Yoder scored four times.
