The Keota Eagles outlasted BGM 5-4 for a home conference baseball win Wednesday evening. After BGM scored twice in the top of the second inning, Keota got its first run of the night in the bottom half and would score one run in each of the next two innings as well to eventually tie the game at three.

After the Bears took the lead back in the top of the sixth, the Eagles scored the tying and go-ahead runs later in the inning, and senior pitcher Aidan Anderson got the last three outs in the seventh for a complete-game victory.

Anderson gave up just four hits and struck out 10 on the mound, while junior Evan Vittetoe led the Keota lineup with two hits, including a double, and two runs scored. Dalton Dodd also had two hits and scored a run for the Eagles, who improved to 5-5 in the South Iowa Cedar League and 9-7 overall.

Keota softball lost 13-0 to BGM Wednesday to remain winless on the season. Both Eagle teams next play tonight at Iowa Valley.
