A busy week continues Friday for the Hillcrest Academy Raven boys and girls of summer when they host Wapello for a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader. The Raven boys are 12-2 on the year, a perfect 8-0 in the Superconference after a 9-2 win over Pekin Thursday. Hillcrest is hitting .349 as a team with 151 runs on 128 hits. Luke Schrock leads with a .558 average, 27 runs scored and 24 hits. Grant Bender has a team best 21 RBI. The Raven team ERA is 2.16 in 81 innings with a .206 opponent average on 62 hits, 25 earned runs 25 walks and 91 strikeouts. Schrock, Rowan Miller and Seth Ours are a combined 7-0 with an ERA under 0.50.

Wapello is 2-10 this season, 2-6 in the Superconference, after an 8-4 loss to Highland Thursday. The Indians are hitting .214 with 42 runs on 60 hits. Casey Short is at .457 with 16 hits to lead the team. Carson Belzer and Cooper Thomas both have seven RBI. Belzer has scored seven times. On the mound, the Indian team ERA is 6.96 in 64 innings, with a .256 average against, to go with 99 hits, 64 earned runs, 59 walks and 65 strikeouts. Matthew Helscher is 1-3 with a 6.41 ERA in 20 innings. The Ravens won this matchup earlier in the year 14-0.

The Hillcrest girls are 5-10 this year, 3-7 in league play after a 14-10 win over Pekin Thursday in Packwood. The Ravens are hitting .292 as a group with 71 runs on 82 hits. Delaney Shaw is the leader with a .452 average on 14 hits. Malia Yoder has a team best 18 runs scored and Lydia Beachy has 14 RBI. Hillcrest has a 9.88 team ERA in 68 innings with a .224 opponent average on 102 hits, 96 earned runs, 95 walks and 74 strikeouts. Yoder is 4-9 this year with a 7.68 ERA.

Wapello is 12-7 on the year and a perfect 9-0, on top of the Superconference, after a 3-1 win over Highland Thursday. The Arrows are hitting .305 this year with 107 runs on 130 hits. Tatum Wolford is at .647 with 33 hits, 23 runs and 21 RBI to lead the way. In the circle, the Wapello team ERA is 4.64 in 98 innings with a .258 opponent average, 103 hits, 65 earned runs, 54 walks and 139 strikeouts. Ada Boysen is 8-3 with a 2.37 ERA. The Arrows won the first meeting between these schools this season 13-1.
