The Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team dropped a Southeast Iowa Superconference crossover against West Burlington on Wednesday 18-0 in three innings. The Falcon bats were on point from the start, scoring 12 times in the first, and putting up six more in the second. In total, West Burlington out hit the Ravens 13-1, including four doubles and belting two homers, one each from Elise Oleson and Madalyn Thomas. They also capitalized on 10 walks from Hillcrest pitching and two fielding errors. All nine Falcons that started scored at least one run and seven of the nine had at least one hit. Lauren Summers got the win, going two innings, allowing one walk and striking out four. Delaney Shaw singled and drew a walk for Hillcrest. Morgyn Nafziger also walked. Kylee Statler took the loss for the Ravens, working all three innings, allowing 13 hits and 17 earned runs. The loss dropped the Ravens to 4-9, West Burlington improved to 12-6.
