The 2023 Jefferson County Fair begins today. The week-long celebration is held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds 2606 W. Burlington Avenue in Fairfield.

Day one is highlighted by the 2023 Fair Parade at 6 p.m. Pens will be ready for livestock by 7 p.m. Beginning tomorrow, the fairgrounds will see wall-to-wall activities, food, and entertainment through Sunday. Guests can enjoy the Tractor Show as well as yard games all day, along with 4-H and FFA presentations.

The Queen Contest, and the Bill Riley Talent Contest headline Wednesday’s events. Bluesfest and Dirt Drags begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Quad Races are Friday, and the Tractor Pull is Saturday. A firework show closes out the annual celebration Sunday night.

There is no main gate admission. Grandstand admission for kids ages 5-11 is $5, and $10 for ages 12 and up. Pit gate admission is $20. For more information, or a full schedule of the 2023 Jefferson County Fair, click here.
