The Washington Board of Supervisors discussed the renewal of the existing lease agreement with Hillcrest Family Services at their meeting on Tuesday. Supervisor Jack Seward Jr. clarifies the reasoning behind this discussion, “This has been rolled over since 2020. Same terms, same lease, and everything else, but just to bring it up to date that the terms are the termination of the agreement, that may be terminated by a written notice by either party with a ninety-day notice. And because we are entering a period where we are trying to make some plans for Orchard Hill, we wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention that we aren’t planning on doing anything right now, but in any case, there will be a ninety-day minimum “notice,” likely more than that.” Washington County Public Health will be moving to the Orchard Hill Complex sometime within the next year once all the details have been finalized.
