Kirkwood Washington County Regional Center hosted their annual Kirkwood for Kids Summer Camp June 19th-22nd. 145 elementary-aged students from Washington, WACO, Highland, Lone Tree, and Mid-Prairie experienced a wide range of topics over the course of the week, most of which related to STEAM education Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Math. STEAM subjects are considered critical for children as they develop key life skills. This week, June 26-28th, continues summer camp for middle school aged students. Kirkwood Camp Exploration provides local middle school-aged students the opportunity to explore career possibilities in digital arts, auto mechanics, welding and fashion design.
