Lone Tree saw its regular season conclude in softball with a 12-2 loss against Holy Trinity Catholic Monday night. The Lions saw a tie game at one get broken up when Holy Trinity scored a run in both the second and third innings. But it was the seven runs in the sixth that put the Crusaders in control.

Junior second baseman Lila Bell had two hits and scored a run, while sophomore designated hitter Haley Bockelman came up with Lone Tree’s only run batted in. Sophomore outfielder Cate Sexton also stroked a double, but the Lions still fell to 10-15. They are off until Friday night when they open the Class 1A Region 8 playoffs by taking on the Highland Huskies.
