The City sweeps the streets around the City square each week between the hours of 10 p.m. on Thursday and 6 a.m. on the following Friday. During this time, according to Ordinance 69.09, all night parking is prohibited on any street within the area of the public square and extending one block each way from the said area bounded by the south line of Second Street, the west line of Second Avenue, the north line of Jefferson Street, and the east line of Avenue B; but not including any portion of Second Street, Second Avenue, Jefferson Street, and Avenue B. City Maintenance also posts signs on the square stating when the street sweeping will occur around the square.
