The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team made a business trip to Tipton Thursday to close the River Valley Conference portion of their season with a 19-1 win over the Tigers. This game was originally scheduled for June 1st but moved because of weather. The outcome was never in doubt, with the Hawks scoring twice in the first and five times in the second to build a 7-0 advantage. The Tigers clawed for one in the bottom of half of the second, but Mid-Prairie put up 12 unanswered across the next three innings to finish the win. Mid-Prairie pounded out 17 hits for their 19 runs and had 16RBI. In the Golden Hawk lineup, 12 different players scored at least once, 10 had hits and nine drove in runs. Karson Grout and Alex Bean had three hits apiece. Bean and Kaden Kos each scored three times. Camron Pickard had four RBI. Bean got the win on the mound with three innings of work, Brown threw two. The win helped the Hawks improve to 24-6 on the year, Tipton falls to 7-17.

Mid-Prairie will next be in action Wednesday in the opening round of the Class 2A District tournament when they host the winner of Wilton and Tipton.
