Beginning this week, Louisa County Conservation is hosting their 2023 Summer Rec for kids entering Kindergarten through sixth grade.

After taking off for the 4th of July holiday, activities resume tomorrow at Chatauqua Park in Columbus Junction from 9 a.m. to noon. Summer Rec continues at the same time and location Thursday and Friday as well. Time will be spent playing games, creating crafts, and exploring nature with friends. A snack will be provided.

Next week, Summer Rec is available once again, this time at Monkey Run Park in Columbus Junction. Both events are free, and all kids K-6 are welcome. Parents and guardians are reminded that the Friday of each week will be a water day, so send children with extra clothes and a towel.
