The KCII Big Red Radio made two stops on Tuesday for community celebrations in Wayland and Wellman. The Big Red Radio broadcasted live from 9 am to 1 pm in Wellman.  Downtown activities included the Kiddie Parade and Main Parade. Freeman Foods grilled ribeye steak sandwiches and rib-on-a-stick during and after the parade; the Heritage Museum was open to the public. The Old Man Band wound down the evening with a performance until dusk at the North Park Band Shell, at which time guests enjoyed the fireworks display. KCII broadcasted live from Wayland on the 4th as well from 8 to 11:30 am. The parade ran through Main Street. After the parade, guests had the opportunity to have lunch put together by the WACO basketball teams.  Firefighter water games were held for kids on Main Street. The festivities lead up to the fireworks show at dusk, donated by the City of Wayland and displayed by Wayland firefighters.
