The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves were defeated by Van Buren County Thursday night 12-0 in the Class 2A District 10 baseball semifinals to end their season. VBC jumped in front with four runs in the opening inning, but WMU would be able to keep them in check most of the game. Unfortunately, the Wolves didn’t hold down the home team forever, as the Warriors exploded for eight runs in the fifth to end the game early.

The season comes to a close with a record of 6-13 for the co-op team between Columbus and Winfield-Mount Union. The Wolves will be losing three seniors in Grant Watson, Preston Prior and Andrew Brown.
