Washington County 4-H dog project members took time away from workouts to enjoy each other at the Ridiculous Day Parade with their dogs advertising for the county fair. The activity at the Washington County Fairgrounds in a variety of department areas is picking up speed now in preparation for the Washington County Fair. 4-H dog project members started their weekly dog workouts on May 5 and will continue every Wednesday until the county fair. 4-H volunteers Tracie Sedlacek, Jessica Schoonover, and Amanda Smith lead the 4-H dog project sessions. Each week they work on obedience, showmanship, and agility. Members are divided into beginner and advanced sessions, with almost 40 youth participating. The 4-H & FFA Dog Obedience Show is Sunday, July 16, at 3:00 p.m., and Monday, July 17, at 12:30 p.m. is the Dog Agility Show. Both shows are held at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
