After another year of sports, performances, and activities, all Iowa high schools will enter into a no-contact period this weekend. The annual break begins on Sunday, July 23 and continues through Sunday, July 30.
This is the third year that the State has mandated the annual break, which includes the Iowa High School Athletic Association, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Iowa High School Music Association, and the Iowa High School Speech Association.
During the no-contact period, there will be no high school athletic, music, or speech activities. Coaches and teachers are not allowed to contact students, and the use of school facilities is prohibited.
