With summer sports in the rearview mirror at Mid-Prairie, the Golden Hawk football team has been hard at work during the offseason to get ready for the fall. Every Friday since May 31st, the Mid-Prairie offensive line has attended a camp series coached by former Iowa offensive lineman Landan Paulsen. Over the eight weeks, the big boys up front have focused on training, fundamentals and leadership, each week at the Mid-Prairie indoor facility.
The Golden Hawk skill positions showed their potential for the upcoming season by winning the 7-on-7 Battle at the Bates championship in the small school division at Iowa City High earlier this summer.
The Golden Hawks will continue to prepare for 2023 with their camp beginning July 31st. Mid-Prairie’s first game is just a month away when they host the Wilton Beavers August 25th.
