With the new school year less than one month away, Henry County Public Health is planning a back to school health fair on Tuesday, August 8.
From 4-7 p.m. at Manning Hall at St. Alphonsus Church in Mount Pleasant, kids will be able to get their back to school immunizations, lead testing, dental screening, and vision screening all in one place. Sports physicals will also be available for a cash-only fee of $25.
In addition to screening opportunities, the event will include community resource tables, kids activities, and giveaways. Full Smoke BBQ and Casa Bella Potosina food trucks will be selling food on site.
Those who take advantage of the health fair are reminded that physicals and most screenings have required paperwork. Those will be available on site or at HealthyHenryCounty.org/PublicHealth. Language translation will also be accessible. For more information and updates, visit the Healthy Henry County Facebook page or call 319-385-0779.
