The Washington County Board of Supervisors held a Work Session after their meeting on Tuesday to discuss a Washington County Wind Ordinance. Supervisor Marcus Fedler shares his thoughts on what should be in the ordinance, “I don’t like zoning as most of you know, and this county has made it pretty clear, they don’t like zoning either. So I don’t want to preclude owners of land from doing what they see fit and to use their land any way they see fit. One, I think the county ought to have some type of reimbursement when it comes to road use for sure. And the second part of that is some sort of conflict resolution, and then the sound quality before and after installation, I mean something like that if a landowner is concerned about that, is neighboring one of these, I think we ought to have something that says before it was this and after it was this.”    There currently is no ordinance in place for Washington County, but the Supervisors will be taking steps to instate one during the coming months.
