The Library’s Art Print collection has received little use over the last few years, and as a result, the Library Board recently made a decision to donate most of the items to the Washington Free Public Library Foundation to auction off. Funds received will benefit The MakeIT Place project. Each Monday, four items will be posted on the Washington Public Library Facebook Page with the title, artist, and dimensions in the comments for each photo, and bids will be received on the post for each picture. The prints are also displayed at the Library over the newspaper/magazine collection. Bidders without a Facebook account may bid in person at the Library, and library staff can tell you what the highest bid currently is and will post your bid. Winners will be the highest bid on Facebook by noon the following Monday. Bidders must pay for their item by 7 pm on Thursday. If not paid, the item will go to the next highest bidder.
