On Friday, July 28th, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported that they were following a subject to turn himself in at the Washington County Jail on a warrant. Fifty-six-year-old Clayton Forman of Kalona was arrested for 1st-degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor. According to court records, on July 24th, Forman had called dispatch on a 911 line threatening to break out a squad car’s windows, claiming that a police K9 was in distress. The police K9 was not inside the vehicle, the vehicle was running with the AC turned on, and the police K9 was inside the building with the officer. During the phone call to dispatch, Forman made violent threats against the Officer. Forman then called back almost immediately after being informed the dog was not in the car, made more violent threats against the Sheriff’s Office, and threatened to shoot any Officers that came to his property. These threats were made on a recorded line. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
