dig-grant

Earlier this year, Downtown Investment Grants (DIG) totaling $100,000 were awarded to two building projects in the Main Street Washington District. The first project is located at 106 S Iowa Avenue, the former Antique Mall on the square, and includes a full renovation of the first and second floors as well as a much-anticipated facade renewal. Owner Brian Bock is excited to bring new business to Washington and is diligently working to ensure the business he brings in will complement our community while filling a need. This project received a grant for $50,000. Just around the corner, at 120 E Main Street, Greiner Buildings, Inc is rebuilding its office plaza. The building suffered a fire last winter, and this local company is choosing to stay downtown and expand. This project also received a grant for $50,000 for the 2nd story expansion that will create more much-needed office space for business professionals wanting to work in Downtown Washington. DIG funds are made available through the generosity of the Washington County Riverboat Foundation and the City of Washington.
